Welcome to The View!

The View is a tranquil moment of rest, a chance to get away from it all and truly relax. Situated in Brae, it is the chance to enjoy nature, the fresh air and of course, the Atlantic and North Sea views.

The View is a family owned property that has been thoughtfully curated to cater to your every need. With everything from soft fluffy bathrobes and pure linen sheets, to a dishwasher and washing machine, our delight is to make your break as enjoyable as possible.

The View comprises two double bedrooms, a super king bedroom as well as a double and single airbed and single sofa bed, should they be required. There is a bathroom with shower as well as a shower room. Each bathroom has underfloor heating and heated towel rails for total luxury. There is a incredibly well equipped kitchen and a dining table that seats eight.

The Shetland capital Lerwick is 25 minutes away by car, or slightly longer by bus. As The View is situated towards the north of the mainland, it is a great place for exploring the rugged cliffs and lighthouse of Eshaness, the island of Muckle Roe with the amazing Hams and the north Isles of Yell, Unst and Fetlar. Whalsay is a fifteen minute journey, and the beautiful west side is thirty minutes away.

The village of Brae has its own post office, supermarket, leisure centre, doctor’s surgery, dentist surgery, pharmacy, restaurants and take aways. There are play parks for children and a leisure centre that offers child-friendly activities including a crazy golf course.
